Crying out as the tears fell down her face.
Asking through her tears, God do you hear me?
When is it my turn to have a family?
Well the years went by and her prayers just stayed the same
And she hoped and prayed and believed right through the pain
Then one day she saw a man sitting in a chair
Bright blue eyes and thick rusty red hair
He said, “Sit right next to me, I have something to ask.
How would you like for me to become your dad?”
She knew right then that God had heard her prayers.
And she jumped in the lap of the man in that big chair.
The love she felt that day starting taking over the pain
She knew that with his love, she’d never be the same.
Well the blue eyed girl grew up into a teen
And her heart would break with all the pain she’d see
So each night she’d kneel and pray, “God can you use me?
What can I do with everything I see?”
As the years went by her heart still filled with pain
She looked out on the world and saw the same
Children on their knees praying for a family
Asking when’s their turn, crying out, Please pick me.
So many times the tears fell down her face
And she’d cry to God what am I to do
He said, “look at your life, what’d I do for you?
I answered your prayers, now that’s what you can do.
You can be a mom to a child who’s crying out to me
Go love that child who’s praying on their knees
So the blue eyed girl grew her family
As the years went by she stepped in to the world
And then one day she saw the pain of herself in the eyes of a little girl
Who cried upon her knees, as the tears fell down her face
God do you hear me, when do I get a family
So blue eyed mom took the girl into her arms
As she hugged her there and said you have my heart
God He heard your prayers and He sent you to me
You won’t be alone, now you have a family
